Ranchi: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Raghubar Das Sunil Kumar Barnwal has directed the officials to speed up solving the cases related to compensation and providing jobs on compensatory grounds for those killed in Maoist related incidents in the state.
Chairing the weekly review of the complaints registered at Jan Samwad Kendra here he also sought a detailed report from the home department over such types of pending cases.
While reviewing the progress on the complaint filed by kin of deceased Sukhram Munda of Khunti who was killed on October 30, 2011 he asked the Nodal officer of the home department to compile a report on such pending cases and solve the issues. A total of 21 cases were reviewed by him.
He also directed all the DCs to hold every month the meeting of the compensation appointment committee so that as early as possible the kin of the deceased government employees can get employment. The directions from Mr Barnwal followed following a complaint from the Ranchi district in which it was pointed that Mahendra Singh posted in Birsa Zoo had died while on duty on November 18,2018 but till date his wife was neither given compensation nor any job. He asked the officials concerned to hold meeting in this by May 31.
In another complaint from Ranchi district it was informed that under BAU B Tech in Dairy Technology was started in the year 2017-18 but till now the course has not been recognised by the ICAR over which he asked the concerned officer to upload the report related to affiliation from ICAR.
During a review of complaint from Chatra district Mr Barnwal directed the Nodal officer to conduct a magistrate probe into the works of Adarsh Path NGO. It was informed that through this NGO premium of 60 LIC policy holders was deposited but the secretary of the organisation had not deposited the money due to which people could not take out their money. He has asked the Nodal officer to submit a report in this regard within a week.
