Target to provide city like amenities in village: Raghubar

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said providing city like amenities in the villages was a priority for the state government. Chairing a meeting with the Mukhiya Sangh at the project building here he said that the funds of the 14th finance commission will be used to provide facilities of street light, paver blocks and water in the villages.

He said that once the street lights are put up traders will be able to do their business for long hours and facilities for movement will also increase and said that in summer season paver blocks will help to keep the villages clean and it will also beautify the villages.

Mr Das said that on schemes on which approval has been received on them work should commence soon. He said that in the next four months villages will have a transformed look. In the meeting of the Mukhiya Sangh, it was agreed that the beneficiary committee should be able to sanction schemes worth Rs 5 lakh which was earlier Rs 2.5 lakh.

Those present on the occasion also included Secretary Panchayati Raj Praveen Toppo, Director Vinay Kumar Rai and others.
