Saraikela-Kharsawan: Police has taken into custody 6 men who were involved in committing witchcraft related atrocities in Chota Krishanpur village.
Police SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said recently a person had died in the village after which as per Hindu tradition some villagers shaved off their heads but few did not.
He said that some of the villagers worship Guru Maa and do not follow Hindu traditions and even do not go to the temple. The SP said that after some of the people protested they were forced to go bald while women were made to cut their nails.
However one of the victims said that villagers had forced such acts on him as he was accused of practicing black magic.
