Ranchi: Unidentified bike-borne and armed miscreants looted a sum of Rs 12.5 lakh from chick traders under Khelgaon police station area of the state capital.
Police said that three masked miscreants got inside Sugna food products and took branch head Subodh Kumar hostage on gunpoint who was later also injured and the miscreants decamped with the cash.
The victims said that a total of 11 men work in the company all of whom were taken hostage on gunpoint. The company is in the business of chick fodder and chick.
Upon receiving information police immediately swung into action and launched a vehicle search drive from Silli to Muri. The police assured to arrest the culprits soon.
