Garhwa: A person died while eight others were injured as an autorickshaw in which they were traveling overturned under Bhawnathpur Police Station area of this district.
With the help of the locals, the injured were taken to near-by community healthcare center from where two with serious injuries were rushed to Garhwa Sadar Hospital for treatment. The deceased has been identified as Lala Chero.
The occupants of the vehicle were returning after performing a ‘tilak’ ceremony which is part of the wedding ritual. On their way back at Bansani village the vehicle driver lost control due to which is overturned and fell into a ditch. Post the incident the driver fled from the spot. Police later sent the body for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.
