Chief justice of Jharkhand HC Anirudh Bose appointed SC judge

Ranchi: Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Anirudh Boss has been appointed as a judge in the Supreme Court of India.

Apart from him, 3 others have been also appointed judges of the supreme court which included Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Bihar Governor Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh Suryakant and Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court AS Bopanna. All these four judges on Thursday would be taking the oath as the judges of the supreme court.

The Collegium of the supreme court had on April 13 approved the name of chief justice of Jharkhand High Court Aniruddha Bose for the appointment as a judge in the apex court of the country. The collegium had discussed upon the names of various judges in the country and based on merit seniority and other issues it had approved the name of these four judges.

Justice Aniruddha Bose was appointed as a judge of the Kolkata High Court on January 19 2004 and on August 11 2018 he became the chief justice of the Jharkhand High Court. Justice Bose was on the 12th rank in the list of seniority among the judges of the various high courts while justice Bopanna was at the 38th position. Justice Bose was born on April 11 1959 and he completed his LLB after which he got his licence in 1985 to practice law.
