Simdega: Daughter of Simdega Beauty Dungdung has been selected in the junior Indian women’s hockey team which will be participating in the Cantor Fitzgerald under 21 International four Nations Hockey tournament to be held in Ireland from May 31 to June 4.
Beauty hails from Karangagudi village and is a trainee at Simdega hockey centre.
Beauty has been selected in the Indians women hockey team for the first time and had IIT girls why playing in the junior nationals hockey which was won by the girls from Jharkhand. The junior women hockey team would also be participating in another International competition in Belarus from June 6.
Her elder brother father and grandfather have all been hockey players. President of Hockey Jharkhand Bholanath Singh and director sports Anil Kumar Singh among others have congratulated Beauty for her selection in the team.
