Giridih: A local court in this district awarded life imprisonment to seven accused involved in a murder case.
The court of district judge Kumar Dinesh had on May 16 held all these men guilty and had fixed May 20 as the date of announcement of punishment. Those who have been awarded life imprisonment in the case included Sachin Yadav, Vicky Yadav, Chiku Yadav, Sanjay alias Babu Yadav, Pudiya Yadav, Titu Yadav and Rajesh Yadav. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on them.
On May 27, 2013 which was also Holi these people had badly beaten one Rajesh Yadav who was alone in his home located on Giridih Station Road and fled from the spot. Due to the beating Rajesh died in the hospital the very next day.
