Koderma: A woman was strangulated to death by her husband and other in-laws at Katakdiha village under Jainagar Police Station area of this district.
The deceased has been identified as Nikhat Parveen alias Soni (28). Police later managed to arrest the husband of the deceased Md Farooq and father-in-law Abdul Kayum. The father of the woman also registered an FIR at the local police station against her husband and other in-laws in this case.
Police has also recovered the ‘dupatta’ which was used in strangulating the woman from the spot. Police said that prima facie it appears that the woman was strangulated to death as marks are clearly visible on the neck.
However raids are on to arrest the other members of the family, police said. Later the body was sent for post-mortem.
