JMM takes swipe a low crowd presence at Shah’s rally

Ranchi: JMM general secretary and spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya attacked the BJP and its star campaigners who are reaching in the Santhal Pargana region and said that the crowd attendance at Amit Shah’s rally in Hiranpur was laughable.

Addressing a press conference here Mr Bhattacharya said that it appears that BJP and its leaders are holding ‘nukkad sabhas’ in the area. He said that the core issues of the CNT/SPT acts and struggle of Sidho-Kanhu and Tilka Baba are now missing while BJP is trying to mislead the people with new scandals and glamour.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is coming to the area on May 15 should rather come also on May 19 when voting will be held and than also he would not be able to change the results. Mr Bhattacharya said that it is good omen for the party that Chief Minister Raghubar Das is camping in Santhal Pargana as the more he stays the greater margin of victory will be for the JMM.

Mr Bhattacharya said that during the by-polls to the Littipara seat of Jharkhand assembly the entire state cabinet camped in the three blocks of the constituency but that too failed to make an impact on the voters. He alleged that the BJP and its leaders want to loot the land, water and coal of the Santhal Pargana and give it to corporate likes Adani and Ambani.

Voting on three seats of the Santhal Pargana region comprising Rajmahal, Dumka and Godda will be held on May 19. Among them Rajmahal and Dumka are with the JMM while Godda seat is with the BJP.
