ST voters supporting BJP in Lok Sabha polls says Pahan

Ranchi: State BJP’s ST Morcha president and MLA Ramkumar Pahan said that the members of the scheduled tribes in the state have supported the BJP in the two phases of elections which has concluded in the state so far.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here he said that the central and the state government have launched many schemes to bring the tribals into the mainstream and exuded confidence that BJP will win all the 5 seats which are reserved for ST in the state by a huge margin. 

He said that people have understood that parties like JMM and Congress have only used the tribals for their vote bank. Pahan said that Chief Minister Raghubar Das has already announced that after census a recommendation will be made to implement the Sarna code in the state which will be a big gift to the tribals in the state but so far Congress, JMM and JVM(P) have not clarified their stand on the issue as they are under the pressure of forces which are involved in religious conversions.
