Suspected ultras set on fire JCB machine in Latehar, tractor burnt in Chatra

Latehar/Chatra: Unidentified armed ultras set on fire a JCB machine involved in a bridge construction project under Bariyatu of this district and also beat up the workers on the spot.

Police sources said that around midnight a group of six armed Maoists reached on the spot located on the NH-99 where a bridge is being constructed on the Domuhan river and beat up the workers on the spot asking them to stop work and before leaving from the spot also set on fire the JCB machine.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident under Kunda Police Station area of Chatra district, a tractor which was involved in a rural electrification project was set on fire in Pinjani village. The criminals also beat up the tractor driver who was sleeping nearby.
