NDA not to cross 150 seat mark, allies like JD(U) and Shivsena to support Congress after results: Anil Sashtri

Ranchi: Senior Congress leader and former union minister Anil Sashtri today claimed that the BJP led NDA will not be able to get more than 150 seats in the Lok Sabha elections and it will be the Congress-led coalition government that will come to power in centre.

Addressing a press conference at the JPCC headquarters here he said that at the end of the four phases gloom prevailed in the BJP and went on to claim that after the results many like-minded parties and even those who are now part of the NDA will be deserting BJP and will be joining the Congress to form the next government in New Delhi.

He said that after the Lok Sabha elections in place of the UPA, National Progressive Alliance will be formed in which apart from the parties which are currently in the UPA many others including BJD, SP and others will be joining hands. He even claimed that parties like Shiv Sena, JD(U), LJP will also leave NDA and support Rahul Gandhi.

Mr Sashtri claimed that despite the BJP claiming that it will get a majority on its own the real picture is that BJP will not be able to open its account in many states like Tamilnadu, Keralal, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and it will also loose its seats in Gujarat, MP, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Himachal while massive losses would come from Uttar Pradesh.
Those present in the press conference also included Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo, Rajeev Ranjan etc.
