Nomination process ends on 3 seats of Santhal Pargana

Ranchi: The process of filing of nominations has come to an end for the 7th and final phase of Lok Sabha elections on the three Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand including Rajmahal (ST), Dumka (ST) and Godda were a total of 119 nomination papers have been filed. On the last of filing of nominations a total of 58 nominations have been filed including 16 in Rajmahal, 16 in Dumka and another 26 in Godda.

The scrutiny will take place on April 30 and the candidates can withdraw their names by May 2. Voting on these four seats will be held on May 19. Prominent candidates who have filed their nomination on these seats included Vijay Hansda of JMM and Hemlal Murmu of the BJP in Rajmahal, JMM supremo Shibu Soren and BJP’s Sunil Soren in Dumka, Nishikant Dubey of the BJP and Praveep Yadav of the JVM(P) in Godda.
