Ranchi: A youth lost his life as he was drowned in the Hatia Dam located under Jaggarnathpur Police Station area of the state capital. The deceased has been identified as Abhishek Kumar, who hailed from Bachra of Khelari.
Police said that the youth along with his four other friends had come for taking a bath in the dam. While his other friends remained at the bank he went deep into the water and was drowned after which his friends raised an alarm and alerted the locals. Later a team of the NDRF took out the body from the dam.
