Battle ground Jharkhand: 24 nominations filed for 7th phase of elections in Jharkhand, 8 nomination papers sold

Ranchi: On the fifth day of filing of nominations for the seventh phase of polling on the three Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand including Rajmahal (ST), Dumka (ST) and Godda 24 candidates today turned up to file their nominations papers and a total of 8 nomination papers were sold during the day.

Overall on these three seats so far 47 nominations have been filed and a total of 57 nomination papers have been sold. The last date of filing of nominations on these three seats is April 29 while scrutiny will take place on April 30 and the candidates can withdraw their names by May 2. Voting on these four seats will be held on May 19.

On the Rajmahal Seat, 8 nomination papers were filed while one nomination paper was sold. In a total 14 nominations, papers have been filed while a total of 14 nomination papers have been sold on these seats.

In Dumka, on the other hand, five candidates filed their nomination papers and one nomination paper was sold. Overall in Dumka 16 candidates have so far filed their nominations while 16 nomination papers have been sold.

On the other hand on the Godda 11 candidates filed their nomination while 6 nomination papers were sold during the day taking the over all number to 27 nomination papers being sold and 17 nomination papers have been filed.
