12 nominations filed for 7th phase of elections in Jharkhand, 10 nomination papers sold

Ranchi: On the fourth day of filing of nominations for the seventh phase of polling on the three Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand including Rajmahal (ST), Dumka (ST) and Godda 12 candidates today turned up to file their nominations papers and a total of 10 nomination papers were sold during the day.

Overall on these three seats so far 17 nominations have been filed and a total of 56 nomination papers have been sold. The last date of filing of nominations on these three seats is April 29 while scrutiny will take place on April 30 and the candidates can withdraw their names by May 2. Voting on these four seats will be held on May 19.

On the Rajmahal Seat, 5 nomination papers were filed while two nomination papers were sold. In a total 6 nominations, papers have been filed while a total of 12 nomination papers have been sold on these seats.

In Dumka, on the other hand, three candidates filed their nomination papers but no nomination papers were sold. Overall in Dumka five candidates have so far filed their nominations while 12 nomination papers have been sold.

On the other hand on the Godda 4 candidates filed their nomination while 8 nomination papers were sold during the day taking the overall number to 32 nomination papers being sold and five nomination papers have been filed.
