Battle Ground Jharkhand: Two nominations filed for 7th phase of elections in Jharkhand

Ranchi: On the third day of filing of nominations for the seventh phase of polling on the three Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand including Rajmahal (ST), Dumka (ST) and Godda two candidates turned up to file their nominations papers and a total of 18 nomination papers were sold during the day.

The last date of filing of nominations on these three seats is April 29 while scrutiny will take place on April 30 and the candidates can withdraw their names by May 2. Voting on these four seats will be held on May 19.

On the Rajmahal Seat, a nomination paper was sold while one candidate filed his nominations. In a total 10 nominations, papers have been sold so far and one nomination has been filed.

In Dumka, on the other hand, 4 nomination papers were sold but no nominations were filed. Overall in Dumka, two candidates including JMM’s Shibu Soren have so far filed their nominations while 12 nomination papers have been sold. On the other hand on the Godda a candidate filed his nomination while 13 nomination papers were sold during the day taking the overall number to 24 nomination papers being sold and one nomination paper has been filed.
