Chief Secretary directs to develop the town naturally

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Secretary D K Tiwari has instructed the urban development department to make less use of the concrete and try to develop the city naturally keeping intact its identity.

Reviewing the progress of the works of the Urban development Department here he said that engineers can only erect the structure and can not ensure the natural growth of the city, therefore, an urban arts commission should be formed in which apart from the environmentalist such people should be included who can give proper suggestions regarding the development of the city without disturbing its original identity. On the other hand, the department was also instructed to hold a dialogue with all the stakeholders related to development and reality sector and take policy-related decisions.

The Chief Secretary raised strict instructions to just build concrete instructions in the name of development of ponds and other water bodies and stressed on the need to preserve them naturally. Mr Tiwari gave many other instructions to the department which can enable the people to breathe in open and suggested that there was a need to develop more gree and open spaces for which underground projects should be adopted.
