Raghubar accuses opposition of misleading people, says govt has not forcibly acquired any land

Jamshedpur/Simdega: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has accused the opposition of misleading the tribals and alleged that the JMM and the Congress did not allow development to reach to the poor as they did not want development of the area.

Addressing couple of public meetings in Jamshedpur and Jaldega of Simdega district he said that the opposition had mislead the people claiming that if BJP comes to power than their land will be looted however on the contrary there is no instance of land being forcibly acquired by the state government, Mr Das said adding that JMM and Congress do not talk of development and their sole work is to create obstacles in the progress works.

Mr Das said that the Prime Minister has given Rs 28 crore each for the aspirational districts of the state including Simdega for which separately the state government also allocated another Rs 50 crore. He said that after 70 years of independence power has reached in all the homes of the area which shows the working of Modi government which is aimed at betterment of the poor.

The Chief Minister said that people have been demanding that Sarna religious code be implemented in the state and assured that after the census of 2022 the state government would be making a recommendation in this regard.
He said that to protect the tribal culture and religion the state government is giving honorary sums to the traditional heads of the tribal system.

He said that the Prime Minister understood the sufferings of the women of the country and started the Ujjwala Yojana. He said that in Jharkhand 30 lakh women have been benefitted by the scheme and by December 2019 another 17 lakh women would be covered in which women hailing from the SC/ST/OBC community would be given priority and pointed that Jharkhand was the alone state where alongwith cylinder, LPG stove was being given free of cost.
