Arjun Munda and Subodhkant Sahai to file nominations on Tuesday

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and BJP candidate from Khunti Arjun Munda and former Union Minister and Congress nominee from Ranchi Subodhkant Sahai are among the key contestants who will be filing their nominations on Tuesday.

Apart from the duo BJP candidate from Ranchi Lok Sabha seat Sanjay Seth and party candidate from Koderma Neera Yadav will also be filing their nominations. Chief Minister Raghubar Das himself will be present at the nomination of these three candidates while NDA ally AJSU party’s supremo Sudesh Mahto will be present in Ranchi during nomination filing of Mr Seth.

Leaders of Mahagathbandhan in Jharkhand including Hemant Soren of the JMM, Babulal Marandi of the JVM(P) and JPCC chief Dr Ajay Kumar will be present during nominations of Mr Sahai in Ranchi. The leaders of the Mahagathbandhan will be later addressing a public meeting in Harmu grounds.

Sitting Ranchi MP Ramtahal Chowdhary who has resigned from the BJP will also file his nominations on Tuesday as an Independent candidate from the Ranchi Lok Sabha seat. The last date of filing of nominations on these seats is April 18 while scruitny will be held on April 20. Candidates can withdraw their nominations till April 22 while voting takes place on May 6.
