CEO reviews preparations with divisional commissioners and DEOs

Ranchi: Chief Electoral Officer L Khiyangate reviewed the preparations for the polls with the divisional commissioners of Santhal Pargana, Kolhan and Palamu and district electoral officers of the area concerned. Mr Khiyangate collected information related to webcasting on polling booths, postal ballot paper printing, election duty certificate for the personnel deployed on poll duty security arrangements at polling booths and facilities to be provided to the voters.

He said that the GPS training programme for one Nodal officer of each district and computer operator should be held at CEO office on April 17. During the video conferencing Additional Chief Electoral officer Vinay Kumar Choubey and Manish Ranjan were also present.

The CEO said that many steps are being taken to ensure independent impartial and transparent elections and in this initiative on important and sensitive polling booth facility of webcasting would be provided through which each and every activity of the polling booth will be monitored. He asked the DCs and district electoral officer to make necessary arrangements in this regard so that on the day of the elections the webcasting can be conducted without any interruption.
