Ranchi: The Election Commission of India has set a maximum expenditure limit for candidates contesting the Lok Sabha polls at Rs 70 lakh.
However, this limit for election expense is not for all the states. In the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nager Haveli the expenditure limit has been fixed at Rs 50 lakh. For the remaining states, it is Rs 70 lakh.
