LS polls in Jharkhand: 5 candidates files their nominations, 11 nomination papers sold

Ranchi: For the second phase of nominations currently going on in the state for four Lok Sabha seats including Koderma, Ranchi, Khunti (ST) and Hazaribagh five candidates filed nomination papers while 17 nomination papers were sold.

At the end of the third day for filing of the nomination of these four seats so far seven candidates have filed their nominations while a total of 47 nomination papers have been sold. The nomination process will continue till April 18 while the scrutiny will be held on April 20. Candidates can withdraw their names by April 22 while voting on these seats will be held on May 6.

On the Koderma Lok Sabha, no candidate turned up to file his/her nominations while just one nomination paper were sold. In the two days, a total of 10 nomination papers have been sold in Koderma.
For Ranchi Lok Sabha seat two independent candidates Arshad Ayub and Jaiprakash Prasad have filed their nominations while two nomination papers have been sold.

In Khunti a candidate filed his nomination while three nomination papers were sold. On Hazaribagh seat, two candidates filed their nominations while five nomination papers were sold. The candidates who filed their nomination papers in Hazaribagh included Rajesh Ranjan of SUIC(Communist) and Mohammed Moinuddin Ahmed (Independent).
