Second phase of nominations: One candidates files his nomination, 17 nomination papers sold

Ranchi: For the second phase of nominations currently going on in the state for four Lok Sabha seats including Koderma, Ranchi, Khunti (ST) and Hazaribagh one candidate filed his nomination papers while 17 nomination papers were sold.

At the end of the second day for filing of the nomination of these four seats so far two candidates have filed their nominations while a total of 36 nomination papers have been sold. The nomination process will continue till April 18 while the scrutiny will be held on April 20. Candidates can withdraw their names by April 22 while voting on these seats will be held on May 6. On the Koderma Lok Sabha seat CPI (ML) candidate Rajkumar Yadav filed his nominations while four nomination papers were sold. In the two days, a total of 9 nomination papers have been sold in Koderma. For Ranchi Lok Sabha seat despite two days gone by none of the candidates have filed their nominations while in these two days a total of 14 nomination papers have been sold including 8 on Thursday and six on
Wednesday. 

In Khunti also no nominations took place while three nomination papers were sold on Thursday and six on Wednesday making it 9 in the last two days. In Hazaribagh also no nominations took place while a total of 4 nomination papers have been sold including two each in the last two days. BJP candidate Jayant Sinha had filed his nominations on Wednesday itself on the seat.
