Dumka: A person lost his life while a woman sustained serious injuries as a bike on which they were traveling was hit by a speeding truck on the Dumka-Bhagalpur main road under Hansdiha Police Station area of this district. Police sources said that the deceased has been identified as Babloo Kapri (35).
The man along with his sister-in-law was coming from Nonihaat when their bike was hit by a speeding truck at Chandradip village in which the duo sustained serious injuries. The man died while being rushed to the hospital and the woman was referred outside for treatment. The truck driver managed to flee leaving the vehicle behind. Police have sent the body for postmortem and have seized the truck.
