Ranchi: Hearing on the bail petition filed by jailed former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in the fodder scam case will be taken up for hearing in the next week. Earlier on April 15 lawyer of Mr Yadav Kapil Sibal had presented arguments in his favour after which the bench of the CJI Ranjan Gogoi had issued a notice to the CBI asking to submit its reply within next two weeks.
After the Jharkhand High Court rejected the bail plea of Mr Yadav on January 10 than on February 21 the bail plea was filled in the supreme court. Mr Yadav has filed an SLP in the apex court demanding that he granted bail in cases of the fodder scam related to Chaibasa, Deoghar and Dumka treasury. In his petition, Mr Yadav had cited his failing health and growing age conditions for bail.
