JMM declares its candidates for LS polls, party supremo Shibu Soren once again to contest from Dumka

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has announced its candidates on the four Lok Sabha seats of the state and once again party supremo Shibu Soren popularly known as ‘Dishom Guru’ or ‘Guruji’ will contest from his traditional bastion of Dumka. Apart from him, the party has fielded Vijay Hansda from Rajmahal, party MLA Champai Soren from Jamshedpur and MLA Jaggarnath Mahto from Giridih seat.

As part of the Mahagathbandhan which also includes Congress, JVM(P) and RJD the JMM was allotted four Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand. The candidates were announced on these seats in a joint press conference which was addressed by party general secretaries Binod Pandey and Supriyo Bhattacharya. Along with Jharkhand the party also declared its candidates on Lok Sabha seats of Odisha (One), Bihar (Four) and West Bengal (9).

The party also announced its candidates on five assembly seats of Odisha. Following is the list of candidates which have been announced for Odisha: Anjali Soren from Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha seat List of candidates for assembly elections in Odisha: Mahesh Chandra Hembrom (Saraskena), Sundar Mohan Singh (Bangariposi), Kaling Kesri Jena (Morada), Sewin Aaind (Veermitrapur) and Sonaram Tudu (Rairangpur). List of candidates for Lok Sabha seats of Bihar: Jawed Hasan (Katihar), Manju Murmu (Purnea), Sakul Murmu (Kishanganj) and Rajkishore Prasad alias Pappu Yadav (Banka).

List of candidates for Lok Sabha seats of West Bengal: Santap Hansda (Raiganj), Joseph Kisku (Malda North), Suresh Chandra Sarkar (Malda South), Naren Tudu (Balurghat), Najani Begum (Asansol), Viplav Marandi (Bankura), Dpendu Mahto (Purulia), Kamal Baske (Jhargram), Shivratan Sharma (Birbhum) while candidate for Bolpur would be announced later by the party.
