Odisha needs double engine government says Raghubar

Mayurbhanj: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that due to the policies of the Modi government the women in Jharkhand have become self-reliant while those in Odisha are forced to live still in poverty. Addressing the Vijay Sankalp Sabha organized here he said that it was really painful that sisters in this state have to travel miles to get drinking water but in the rural areas of Jharkhand his government has provided clean drinking water and has opened doors of employment and self-employment for the women due to which they are marching ahead on the path of economic empowerment which was only possible due to a double engine government and Odisha to needs a similar kind of government.

He said that at the centre once again Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to become prime minister and for the people to vote for a BJP government in Odisha and Usher development in their state. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dedicated for the development of the tribals and the tribal community was moving ahead on the path of the development and it was due to his leadership that the Santhals in Jharkhand also rapidly progressing. He said that the Jharkhand government has accorded the status of the state-level event to Lugu buru festival and the area is being developed and pointed that despite three chief ministers are also hailing from the Santhal Pargana region they failed to take any step for the development of a sacred place for the Santhals.

Mr Das said the time for change has come in Odisha and said that on four occasions Naveen Patnaik was made the chief minister of the state as the people hoped for development however the state fell behind. He asked the people to seek answers from the government as to where the money which is sent for providing drinking water and other basic amenities to the people is spent. He said that if BJP will be in power in Odisha than all divyang, old age and widows would monthly pension of Rs 1000 while all widow women will also have their pucca homes.
