Candidates of NDA and Mahagathbandhan to file nominations on Apr 6 for Palamu seat

Daltonganj: The candidates belonging to the NDA and the mahagathbandhan will be filing their nominations for the elections to the Palamu Lok Sabha seat on April 6. Earlier with the issue of notification, the process of filing of nomination commenced for the three seats of the state including Palamu, Chatra and Lohardaga. On the first day however no nominations were filled in Palamu but six nomination papers were purchased by former MP Dulal Bhuiyaan his wife Anjana Bhuiyaan, former MP Ghuran Ram, Balkesh Paswan, Satyendra Paswan and one another. 

The process of nomination will continue till April 9 while scrutiny will take place on April 10. The last date of withdrawal of nominations is April 12 while polling for these seats would be held on April 29. BJP candidate VD Ram and RJD’s Ghuran Ram have announced that they would be filing their nominations on April 6.

Earlier Mr V D Ram was scheduled to file his nomination on April 8 but since it is a holiday on account of Sarhul therefore the change of nomination date has been changed. Mr Ram said that before the filing of nominations a public meeting will be held at Shivaji Maidan. On the other hand, Mr Ghuran Ram said that RJD has been given the Palamu seat as part of Mahagathbandhan in Jharkhand and he will be filing his nomination on April 6.
