All preparations completed for start of nomination process

Ranchi: Chief Electoral Officer L Khiyangate held a review meeting with district electoral officers to assess the preparations for the first and second phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state. He held a review meeting with the DEOs of Chatra, Latehar, Palamu, Koderma Hazaribagh, Giridih, Saraikela, Ranchi, Khunti, Simdega, Gumla, Lohardaga, Garhwa and Ramgarh. In the meeting, he reviewed finner details related to the first rendemisation process for EVM and VVPAT, need and availability of security forces at polling booths and preparations made for the nomination process. He asked the district electoral officer to complete all preparations for the nomination of the first and second phase of elections and ensure that all the guidelines given by the Election commission of India are implemented.

Additional Chief Electoral officer Vinay Kumar gave necessary instructions to the DEOs over the upkeep of EVM and VVPAT, security and rendemisation. In the meeting, the DEOs said that the process of first rendemisation has been completed. On the sensitive of the booths the polling centers have been divided and necessary arrangements are being made. The nomination process for Chatra, Lohardaga and Palamu Lok Sabha seats will commence from April 2 while nomination process of Koderma, Ranchi, Khunti and Hazaribagh will commence on April 10. The district electoral officers of these constituencies concerned detailed about the preparations which has been made for these two phases and also elaborated on the activities which have been undertaken to increase the voter turn out. Additional Chief Electoral officer Manish Ranjan was also present on the occasion.
