Dumka: In a major success for the security forces a joint team of the Seema Shashstra Bal and that of the district police recovered huge cache of live cartridges and Naxal literature from Kathikund police station area of this district. Addressing a press conference here Dumka SP Y S Ramesh said that in the joint operation of the SSB and district police about 180 live cartridges of SLR and 150 books of naxal literature have been recovered.
He said that the team has also recovered some important documents pointing that the maoists were planning to inflict damage on the security forces during the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The SP said that a special team has been constituted to go through the naxal literature and the documents which have been recovered from the spot. He said that the cartridges of the SLR which have been recovered from the Maoist is used by police and security personnel but how it managed to reach the maoists is a matter of probe.
