CPI to field candidates on Hazaribagh and Dumka seats

Ranchi: The CPI will field its candidate on two Lok Sabha seats of the state with Bhuneshwar Prasad Mehta contesting from Hazaribagh and Senapati Murmu from Dumka. Addressing a press conference here senior CPI leader Bhuneshwar Mehta said that since beginning his party had been demanding Hazaribag and another seat in mahagathbandhan however the Congress did not clarify its stand, therefore, the party has been forced to take this decision of fielding its own candidates.

He said that in Koderma the party would be extending support to CPI (ML) while in Rajmahal it will support the CPM and if the Marxist coordination committee decides to contest in Dhanbad then they would be supporting their candidate however apart from these 4 seats on all the other seats his party  would be supporting the mahagathbandhan. Mr Mehta also accused the mahagathbandhan of not fulfilling their promise as they did not give CPI the Hazaribagh seat while on Koderma he said that when Babulal Marandi had no issues then why the Congress and the JMM objected of the seat being provided to the CPI (ML).
