Ranchi: The state government has approved a sum of Rs 177.69 crore from its contingency fund to conduct the Lok Sabha polls in the state. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was changed by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here.
Briefing the press principal secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat and coordination department SKG Rahate said that the fund has been provided to the Chief Electoral Officer office district electoral officers and other officers concerned with electoral works. He said that a total of 9 decisions were taken in the meeting however these would be announced after approval of the election commission.
However, sources claimed that among many decisions it has been decided to allow functioning of Counter
insurgency and Anti Terrorist schools for the next 3 years.
