Chief Electoral Officer holds review meeting with Commissioners of North and South Chotanagpur

Ranchi: Chief Electoral Officer L Khiyangate held a video conferencing review meeting with the commissioners of North and South Chotanagpur division and all the district electoral officers which fall under these two divisions. He directed all the district electoral officers to ensure that on all the polling booths the BA those are present on March 29 who on that day would be accepting form 6 related to inclusion of names in the voter list and apart from that they would be also sharing details with the voters regarding their names in the voter list and location of the polling booth etc. He instructed the DEOs to create awareness in this regard so that the people have prior information. 

Mr Khiyangate said that to ensure the participation of Divyang voters into the election process the Divisional Commissioners have been appointed as accessibility observers by the election commission of India. He said that the Divisional commissioners would be also keeping an eye on the identification of the Divyang voters inclusion of name in the voter list facilities being provided to them apart from law and order and arranging vehicles to be used in election related works. He said that they would be also monitoring the task of providing water slips in Braille language to the blind voters along with voter guide and a dummy ballot sheet would also be provided at the polling booths on the day of the election. 

The Chief Electoral Officer also directed all the district electoral officers to hold a meeting with the representatives of the political parties and provide them with hands-on training related to use of the Suvidha app through which permission for various campaign related works would be given. He said that the  representatives of the political parties should be informed that before organising any event permission for that should be sought
through an application on the Suvidha app 48 hours in advance
