HC seeks answers from EC over defection of MLAs

Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court has sought answers from the election commission over the defection of six JVM(P) MLAs into BJP. The court of justice Sujeet Narayan Prasad later fixed March 28 as the next date of hearing. JVM(P) supremo Babulal Marandi and party leader Pradeep Yadav have filed a petition in the high court challenging the order of the speaker’s court over the issue of the defection of six MLAs into BJP.

A total of 42 leaders feature on the star campaigners list including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Sah. Even Lok Sabha in charge for Jharkhand Mangal Pandey has been included in the list.
