RJD expels Annapurna Devi for 6 years citing anti party activities

Ranchi: The RJD expelled its state unit head Annapurna Devi for six years for anti-party activities. Apart from expelling her from the party the RJD has also appointed former MLA Gautam Sagar Rana as the new President of the Jharkhand unit of RJD. Ms Annapurna is currently in New Delhi where she would be taking the membership of the BJP. On Sunday she along with other RJD leaders
Janardhan Paswan and Manoj Bhuiyaan had met Chief Minister Raghubar Das and National General Secretary of the BJP and
MP Bhupendra Yadav at the Chief Minister’s residence here to discuss the finer details of her joining the party.

Since the last couple of days itself talks off Ms Annapurna’s plan of joining the BJP in which she would be also fielded as the candidate from Koderma Lok Sabha seat of the state were doing the rounds. State BJP president Laxman Giluwa who also left for New Delhi also confirmed that she is going to join the BJP.
