Dumka: In a joint operation by the district police and Sashastra Seema Bal 4000 metres of codex wire and 75 books of naxal literature
was recovered from Kathikund Police station area of this district. Dumka SP Y S Ramesh briefing the newsmen at his residence here said after the death of Tala Da the faith of people has increased on the police and said that it was following a secret tip off that joint raid was conducted and these materials which were kept hidden in three drums were seized.
He said that codex wire is used to blast IEDs. The SP said that maoists had accumulated these items to create some trouble during the Lok Sabha polls and said it is also suspected that the wire might have been also kept for supply to illegal stone mines. The SP has once again urged the ultras to surrender and assured that all possible help as per the rehabilitation policy would be provided to them.
