Armed robbers looted cash and Jewelry worth rupee 11 lakh in Ramgarh

Ramgarh: Five to six armed robbers looted jewellery and cash of Rs around 11 lakh from the residence of a retired CCL employee situated at Patratu Bast under Ramgarh police station of this district of Ramgarh district on Saturday night. Ramgarh police led by subdivisional police officer (SDPO) Radha Prem Kishor has launched an operation to nab the accused. The robber remained nearly half an hour in the house. At the time of the incident, the house head Nageshwar Mahto was not in the house. He had gone to his eldest daughter’s house Bengal. His wife Panchami Devi and two daughters were at home.

The robbers held captive mother and duo daughters in a room threatening with arms. Soon criminals broke the shelves kept in three rooms and looted jewellery, cash of around Rs 11 lakh and two mobile phones. Robbers threatened not to make noise. The incident was reported to the police station at early morning on Sunday soon after the incident. “We reached there and inquired into the investigation. Police have recovered one of two looted mobile phones from the adjoining area. The Finger Print Expert and Dog Squad Team are busy to collect evidence and clues of the robber. The matter will be disclosed soon,” said Radha Prem Kishor SDPO Ramgarh.
