Hazaribagh: Body of a girl was recovered from a drain near Silwar firing range under Muffasil police station area of this district. Police suspected that the girl was raped and later murdered and her body was thrown into the drain.
The body was spotted by the villagers who alerted the police which sent the body for postmortem to RIMS Ranchi as it was more than two days old therefore the postmortem could not be performed in Sadar Hospital in Hazaribagh. The identity of the victim who is aged between 20 to 22 years is yet to be ascertained police said.
