Left parties to contest four seats in Jharkhand if Congress fails to meet their demands

Ranchi: The left parties in the  state have asked the Congress to clear its stand by providing them with Hazaribagh and Koderma Lok Sabha seats or else they would be fielding their candidates on 4 Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand. An announcement in this regard was made during a joint press conference which was addressed by State secretary of CPI Bhuneshwar Prasad Mehta State secretary
of CPI (M) Gopi Kant Bakshi State secretary of CPI (ML) Janardan Prasad and President of Marxist coordination committee Anand Mahto.

The left leaders said that all needed to understand that defeating the BJP is the main objective. They said that if they do not
get Hazaribagh and Koderma Lok Sabha seats then they would contest in Palamu Rajmahal and Dhanbad also. Earlier a meeting was also held of the left parties where it was decided that they would work together to ensure the defeat of the BJP. It was also decided that they would contest sheets where they have their own considerable influence.

The parties also agreed that political situation in Jharkhand was not clear yet therefore they would also look at their own decisions and work in more coordination with each other.
