Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal gave instruction to the immediate payment of the insurance, pension and other amount to the wife of Assistant Engineer Gopal Hari Prasad, who has been appointed in Godda and said that It is unfortunate that even after one and half years of death of Assistant Engineer, his wife has not been paid the amount. The Secretary directed the department to settle the matter by next Monday.

On the issue of scholarship not being given to the students for the last three years, the secretary instructed the officers of the department that the payment of all the students should be done immediately. Divyangta pension of Puja Kumari from Deoghar is pending since past one year. On this the secretary instructed to pay the pension as soon as possible.

On August 22, 2014 Chhatarpal Oroan was killed by Naxalites in Chatra. According to the rules, the relatives of the deceased had applied for compensation and job in the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Gumla. But the benefit to the dependents has not yet been received. Nodal officer of Gumla said that the Naxal had taken dead body of the killed person with them and due to that Postmortem report could not be produced and the settlement is pending. The secretary said that if the report of DC and SP confirm that the person was killed by Naxals then the dependent should be given compensation and job. He said that such cases are being brought before the cabinet.
