Docoits loot Rs 10 lakh from Bank of India in Dhanbad

Dhanbad: Armed dacoits looted a sum of Rs 10 lakh from Bank Of India Kolakusma Branch located under Saraidhela police station area of this district. Police said that the dacoits also looted the rifle of the bank guard which day later threw away while fleeing from the
spot. They also took away the DVR of the CCTV which was installed in the bank.

The eyewitness said that 10 men on a motorcycle came to the bank out of which five men who were carrying bombs and arms in their hands went inside the bank and took the bank manager and the cashier hostage on gunpoint. The miscreants also beat up the other bank employees and forced open the strong room from where that took cash worth about Rs 10 lakh and fled from the spot.

Later the police was alerted. Dhanbad SSP Kishore Kaushal who also reached on the spot said that the crime has been executed by some professional gang.
