JVM(P) asks Chief Electoral officer to remove tainted officials

Ranchi: A delegation of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) met Chief Electoral officer L Khiyangate and handed him a memorandum demanding that tainted senior police officers and temporary Chief Secretary be kept away from election work. The
party in its memorandum pointed that the dates for the Lok Sabha polls have been declared. The party said that apart from the common people all political parties want that the elections should be held in a free and transparent manner however many senior 
officials who are sitting on the higher post have been facing many allegations and if they are involved in the election process then the polls are not expected to be held freely.

The party said that Jharkhand Director General of Police D K Pandey and ADG Anurag Gupta are facing serious allegations and they have been accused of working as the agent of the BJP while on the other hand chief secretary Sudhir Tripathi has been given service extension. The party said that on the directions of the election commission case was registered against ADG Anurag Gupta for misusing his post giving bribe to voters to vote in favour of BJP and under PC act while on the other hand the DGP has been involved in the fake Bakoria encounter and also in the case of fake Maoist surrender. 

The party said that taking action against culprit officials should be a priority for any state government but unfortunately, in Jharkhand, these officials are being protected and being felicitated by the state government and all efforts are being made to whitewash the cases in which they have been made accused so that they continue to perform the wrong acts for the government. The party delegation as demanded that apart from the to senior officials the temporary chief secretary should be kept outside from the election work so that transparency is maintained and apprehension in the mind of the voters and political parties is also removed that no one can be done in the polls.

Those present in the party delegation also included Central General Secretary of the party Bandhu Tirkey Central Secretary Saroj Singh Suresh Sao spokesperson Yogendra Pratap Singh and media incharge Tauhid Aalam.
