Opposition to share joint campaign to defeat BJP on all 14 Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand: Babulal Marandi

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and leader of opposition Hemant Soren met JVM(P) supremo Babulal Marandi at his residence here during which discussion was held over the coalition in the state. In the meeting which lasted for more than an
hour both the parties agreed to launch a joint campaign against the BJP in order to emerge victorious in the Lok Sabha polls.

Later briefing the press after the meeting Babulal Marandi said that it has been decided that the opposition parties would launch a joint campaign in the state during the Lok Sabha polls as all the parties have given therein principle nod to this proposal. He said that Hemant Soren has been authorized to hold talks with the Congress and the RJD over seat sharing. Mr. Soren said that it is a collective thought that the time should be judicially utilized and strategies are framed for ensuring the victory of the candidates and assured that within a week talks would be held among the parties in the mahagathbandhan and a clear picture would be available to the people.

Over pools been conducted in four phases in Jharkhand, Mr. Soren said that BJP has realized that its condition was very bad in the state due to which in a small state like Jharkhand elections are being held in four phases. He said that BJP was scared in the state. Over the Godda seat and issues of the minorities he said that all the parties which are part of this mahagathbandhan cannot
ignore the rights of the minorities and as part of the present election strategy the agenda has been set by the coalition parties as per
which work was presently going on and assured that all the parties would rise above their differences and work jointly to defeat the
BJP.

Commenting over the performance of Modi government at the centre is said that due to the present policies every section in the country was at pain and whether it was the poor workers' tribals the dalits or backward none of them have been provided social justice by the Modi government. He alleged that to win the polls BJP was playing the card of Hindutva and nationalism and pointed that this country did not belong to few individuals but was rather a nation of 125 crore people. He said that the country has fallen backward under the present central government in the area of employment and issues related to tribals the Dalits agriculture education and other basic amenities of life.
