Cabinet Decisions: Policemen in Jharkhand to get one month Additional salary

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has decided to provide one month of additional salary to the police personnel of the state. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here.

An announcement in this regard was made in the budget for the year 2019-20. The government has also decided to form a committee to be headed by Chief Secretary and will also include Additional Chief Secretaries of the Planning and Finance
Department Personnel and Administrative Reforms department Principal Secretary of the home department and DGP Jharkhand Police and this committee good submit its report to the government in a month over the execution of the additional salary. 

In another key decision, the state government has decided to distribute Chana among the untrodden family of the state Rs 15 per kilogram including the central subsidy while a sum of Rs 150 crore has been also approved for the year 2019- 20 for distribution of sugar among the beneficiaries. In another important decision, the cabinet decided to give in-principle approval so that land allotted for housing board and plots of the Khasmahal would be converted into a freehold. To decide the terms and conditions for this A committee under the development commissioner has been formed whose other members include secretary Urban Development Department secretary revenue and Secretary planning cum finance department.

The government also decided that under the centrally sponsored midday meal scheme for students in classes 1 to 8 in the government schools would be provided the midday meal through a centralized kitchen process for which would be decided. It was also decided to Accord autonomous status for the newly constructed skill college which has been set up in collaboration with PreJha Foundation. It was also decided to release a sum of Rs 40 crore for Deendayal gram Swavalamban Yojana. In another decision, the state government also give administrative approval to spend a sum of rupees 61 crores to provide connectivity in institutions including one School Primary Health Care Centres Anganwadi police station of one block every 13 districts in the state including Ranchi Ramgarh Hazaribagh Koderma Bokaro Deoghar Sahibganj Dhanbad East Singhbhum Giridih Latehar Lohardaga and Palamu. 

The government has also decided to give 0.44 acres of land in golimar under Godda Sadar Anchal area at a payment of Rs 24.59 lakh to State Bank of India Godda Branch to build a new building of the branch. In another decision, the state government decided to give 13.58 acres of land at a payment of Rs 2.84 crore to Adani power to set up to 2x 8800-megawatt power plant on a lease of 30 years. The Jharkhand government has also decided to give an area of 704.23 acres in Tandwa block of Chatra district at a payment of Rs 400.48 crore on a lease of 30 years to NTPC for its North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project. An area of 6.30-acre would be given in poraiyahat circle area of Godda district to Food Corporation of India Limited to construct a godown on payment of Rs 66. 10 lakh on a list of 30 years with the option of lease renewal.

The cabinet has also decided to increase the validity of the passing certificate of JTET for which it has approved the 4th amendment in the Jharkhand Primary School Teacher Recruitment exam. It was also decided to give an area of 45.28 acres in Saraiyahat and Ramgarh of Dumka district at a payment of Rs 12.69 crore to the Railways ministry Government of India for Hansdiha Mohanpur new BG line. The government has also decided to nominate EESL for undertaking the work of installing LED lights in the gram panchayats of the state.

In another key decision, the state government has decided that for admission in the engineering colleges of the state for the year 2019-20 instead of organizing a separate entrance exam by the Jharkhand combined entrance competition examination Council admission of the students would be done on the basis of their ranks obtained in the joint entrance examination conducted by the NTC and in this online counselling would be done and seats would be allocated.
