Khunti: Sleuths of the Anti-Terrorist Squad in a rich haul has seized more than 100 kilograms of Ganja from Torpa Police Station area of this district and has arrested six people in this connection.
The cost of the seized Ganja is estimated to be about Rs 20 lakh. Officials of the ATS said that following a secret tip of two cars apprehended near a petrol pump in Korba along with six occupants and the Ganja was recovered. Later all the arrested were forwarded to jail. The arrested have been identified as Tahir Ansari Karun Kumar Singh Tariq Abbas Rajendra Oraon Ashfaq Alam and Mohajid Alam. However, the leader of the gang Rehan Ansari is still evading police arrest.
The Ganja had been supplied from Odisha which was meant to be supplied in Ranchi market.
