Ranchi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Mann Ki Baat program has lauded the work done by Lady Tarzan of Jharkhand Jamna Tudu. In his Mann Ki Baat program, he said that Jamna Tudu bravely took on the timber mafia and the Maoists and not only saved 50 hectares of the forest but also united 10,000 women and encouraged them to protect trees and wildlife.
The Prime Minister said that it was due to her works that villages plant 18 trees on the birth of a child and plant 10 trees on the occasion of the marriage of a girl.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Raghubar Das has lauded the works being done by her and said that all the people should follow her works and added that the entire state was proud of her. Padma Shri Jamna Tudu hails from Chakulia of the East Singhbhum district of the state.
