JMM demands state govt to file review petition before SC on forest right deeds

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has asked the state government to file a review petition before the supreme court so that 28000 moolwasis and adivasis family can be given forest right deeds in the state.

General Secretary of the party cum spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that it was due to non-performance and lack of sensitivity that the state government in an affidavit accepted that it has rejected the forest right claims of more than 28000 adivasis and moolwasi families in the state.

He said that the claim has been rejected so that in such areas which have reserves of coal iron ore and bauxite can be given to industrial houses and there is no problem in a starting mining work. He said that deliberately the state government did not present its stand strongly before the supreme court.
