Dhanbad: People erupted in joy as after a gap of 20 months once again train services has commenced on the Dhanbad Chandrapura railway line. The first train to reach Katrasgarh railway station which falls on the DC line was Alleppey Express. In a function which was organised at the katrasgarh railway station Giridih MP Ravinder Kumar Pandey along with Dhanbad M P P N Singh and MLAs Raj Sinha and Dhullu Mahto jointly flagged off the train on its further course of the journey. The train was decked with flowers while the entire railway Station had been also beautifully decorated.
Great enthusiasm was witnessed among the people as thousands had turned down at the katrasgarh railway station and where also lined up on the tracks to welcome the train and upon its arrival also clicked photographs and selfies. Elaborate security arrangements were also made at the railway station on the occasion.
Train traffic movement on the DC line was closed from June 15 2017 after a report by the DGMS that underground fire was putting the railway tracks in danger the PMO had closed the DC line and suddenly movement of 26 pairs of trains was stopped on the route.
